A useful price comparison puts the same selling units side by side. Como Silk Atelier displays the price for one 3-metre piece, while another listing may price a metre, yard or a different cut.
Convert the selling unit first
For a 3-metre piece, divide the piece price by 3 to calculate a comparison price per linear metre. This is a comparison calculation; the product is still sold as a complete piece.
For example, a hypothetical AED 300 piece of 3 metres works out at AED 100 per linear metre. This example is not a current product price.
Include usable width
Equal lengths can provide different areas when their widths differ. Approximate area equals length in metres multiplied by usable width in metres. Area is useful for price comparison, but it does not prove that a garment layout will fit: shape, direction and motif placement still matter.
Compare equivalent descriptions
Put fibre percentages, weave, finish and included length beside the price. A fabric-only listing cannot be compared directly with a finished garment or an embroidered piece without accounting for what each purchase includes.
Check the full order total
Include the number of separate pieces, delivery and any other charges actually shown at checkout. If coordinating fabrics or lining are sold separately, account for them independently. Review current prices and availability on the product pages.
