Build the schedule backwards from the event

- Allow time to review the fabric, finalise the design and check the required width and quantity.
- Place the order with time for delivery and inspection before the cloth is cut.
- Reserve separate time for garment preparation, fittings and any adjustments.
- Check the complete outfit with shoes, underlayers and accessories before the occasion.
The store’s delivery estimate covers the fabric order. It does not include preparing a finished garment. Check the current shipping policy and leave a buffer appropriate to your project rather than treating an estimated arrival as an event-ready date.
Define the occasion and the dress brief
Write down where the event takes place, how formal it feels to you and what you want to wear. Specify whether the project is a kaftan, open occasion abaya, closed dress or another design. Consider the layers, sleeve shape and amount of movement involved.
Your brief should reflect your own preferences and any guidance from the event host. Avoid assuming that every wedding or Eid gathering calls for the same colour, amount of decoration or silhouette. The occasion provides context, while the design remains personal.
Choose a colour story for the occasion
Include time for an initial assessment and more than one decision point if the garment requires it.
If your preferred design is too complex for the available time, discuss which features can be simplified without losing the main idea. A clear, achievable brief is more useful than keeping an elaborate reference while leaving the schedule unresolved.
Shortlist fabric around the design
Choose a small number of articles that support the intended colour and pattern direction. A jewel-toned option such as Amethyst Damask offers a different visual starting point from a soft sage or a dark gold-toned scroll.
Use original photographs and movement videos to compare them. Do not spend most of the preparation time choosing accessories before the cloth is settled.
Check availability and piece format before setting dates
A product page provides a reference for the article, but your project depends on the required quantity being available in the right format.
The current Como Silk Atelier collection is sold in three-metre pieces. Resolve that detail before finalising the project calendar.
Delivery from Italy
Orders ship directly from Italy. UAE standard delivery is free on orders of AED 200 or more, and AED 25 below AED 200. Estimated delivery is 3–5 business days from ordering, including preparation and transit.
Inspect the fabric before cutting
Check that the article and quantity match the order, and review the cloth before authorising work. If something requires clarification, contact the seller promptly through the current customer-service process. Do not cut first and try to resolve a product question afterwards.
A sensible adjustment at this stage can be more useful than insisting on a detail chosen from a screen.
Review the finished outfit in normal movement
Bring the intended shoes, underlayer and any scarf or accessory that affects proportions. Check the hem, sleeve openings, neckline and closure in the way you will wear them. Walk, sit and move your arms instead of assessing the garment only in a standing pose.
Explain specific concerns clearly. Keep the agreed adjustments in the project record so they can be checked at the next appointment.
Keep accessories flexible until the garment is clear
It is tempting to purchase every matching accessory immediately, but the finished fabric combination may suggest a different balance. A metallic pattern might need less additional decoration than expected, or a particular neckline may change the jewellery you prefer.
The garment should remain the main project, with the supporting pieces selected around the effect you want.
Set a complete budget
The current price per three-metre piece is shown on the product page. Two quantities provide six metres in two separate pieces; the cart shows the current total.
If a change increases the cost or needs more fabric, discuss it before it is made. A clear project estimate reduces the chance that an attractive initial fabric price hides an incomplete plan.
Leave a final preparation window
Agree when you will collect the completed garment and how it should be stored or transported before the occasion.
