Which jacquard should I choose for my design?

Start with motif scale and the areas of the garment where it will appear. Celadon Confetti TG-019 offers small coloured dots on celadon-grey for a different effect from an all-over floral. Amber Blue Floral TG-372-J has a coordinating chiffon option sold separately. Ask your dressmaker to assess the actual fabric's drape, lining and cutting requirements.

What does silk jacquard mean?

Silk names a fibre; jacquard refers to woven pattern or effects. A jacquard cloth can also be printed, so the visible motif is not necessarily produced by weaving alone. Fibre percentages, weight and width must be checked for the individual article. The category does not establish a universal 100% silk composition.

Can I use jacquard for an abaya, kaftan or dress?

It can be considered for suitable designs. Plan an open or closed abaya around the coverage and lining required. For kaftans and jalabiyas, examine motifs at the neckline, centre front and sleeves. A fabric name does not guarantee stiffness, opacity or suitability for every silhouette.

Is one 3-metre piece enough?

It depends on fabric width, body measurements, garment length, sleeve shape and motif matching. Ask your dressmaker for the cutting plan before choosing quantities. Quantity two means two 3-metre pieces for listings sold in this format; a continuous six-metre length must be confirmed separately.
